Missing New York!
Well we were supposed to be in New York this weekend & week. Adam won another trip, but we decided not to go because we had been going out of town so much lately & it TAKS testing week at school (boooo!). Well, now that it's finally here, I'm really regretting not going. We were supposed to stay at the Waldorf. But it's probably a good thing we were home because Baylor had all the pain this weekend & we ended up in the hospital. I don't think anyone would have been able to handle him while we were gone.

Alaskan Cruise Pics2008
We just returned from a 7 day Alaskan cruise that Adam won through work- Aug 16-23, 2008. It was incredible! We saw lots of bald eagles, whales, & icebergs. Here's a picture of the two of us in front of an iceberg. It was August so it was summertime in Alaska, and the weather was anywhere from 50-60 degrees each day. Also, no rain for the entire week, which, is evidently remarkable for Alaska :). We visited Juneau, Sitka, & Ketchikan. 900 people on the cruise ship were from Adam's company & they treated us to everything. It was great. I'm sure I came home 10 pounds heavier with all the food! We came back on a Saturday and Baylor & I had the first day of school that Monday, so it was a nice little pre-school vacation.
Family Vacation 2008

Well, we took Baylor to St. Louis, MO this summer. It was a family trip that Adam won through work. We drove (ugh!), and we'll never do that again. We did get to go visit John & Laura in Dallas on the way, and we spent one night in Branson, MO. We're thinking about spending a whole vacation week in Branson some time. It was great. We spent 4 days in St. Louis at Union Station Hotel. The entire hotel was built around the old train station--very cool! We went to a Cardinals game, saw the arch, & visited the St. Louis Zoo & the Budweiser plant. It was fun! The drive home was not!
